This international symposium aims to bring together basic researchers and clinicians to discuss new developments for the therapeutic use of stem cells.

The focus will be on four major areas of human disease:

  • Ophthalmology
  • Cardiology
  • Orthopedics
  • Oncology

The event features 13 high-profile speakers. These international experts will present new approaches in stem cell therapy and discuss regulatory mechanisms on the cellular level which influence stem cell fate and activity.

On Thursday evening, Prof. Michael Menger, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, invites the public to attend his opening lecture to discuss the competitive aspects of science.
