Wissenschaft lebt von Neugier und Austausch. Mit den Symposien der Klassen lädt die Nationale Akademie der Wissenschaften Leopoldina Sie ein, über die Grenzen einzelner Fachbereiche hinaus Einblicke in die vielfältigen Forschungsthemen zu werfen, mit denen sich die Mitglieder der Akademie beschäftigen. Renommierte Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler aus dem Bereich Lebenswissenschaften geben Einblicke in ihre Fachgebiete. Den Auftakt des Symposiums bildet die Leopoldina-Vorlesung von Prof. Dr. Joachim von Braun ML* zum Thema „Klimawandel – Risiken für die Ernährungssicherung und Handlungsbedarf“ am Abend des 23. Mai 2018.
