Algorithms are able to achieve excellent performance on an increasing number of complex tasks, thereby changing everyday life already today at a faster pace than we realize. Embracing AI promises considerable benefits for science and businesses. At the same time, AI’s transformative impact on society is likely to be profound.

The KAST-Leopoldina Joint Bilateral Symposium will bring together renowned scientists from South Korea and Germany to explore current trends in core areas of AI research as well as discuss technological progress and its societal and scientific impact.
