Long after a SARS-CoV-2 infection, many people's health is so severely impaired that it is difficult for them to return to life. If the symptoms persist for at least twelve weeks, it is called post-COVID. The symptoms can be very different, appearing already in the acute phase of the disease or only weeks or months later.
The Leopoldina symposia of Class III – Medicine looks at the post-COVID syndrome from different medical perspectives. The spectrum of topics covered by the scientists from Germany and abroad ranges from possible causes to care and global health aspects.
The lectures are aimed at an interested public and will be held in English. The event will be simultaneously translated, livestreamed and recorded with subtitles. On-site registration for participation is required.
