Julius Hallervorden war ein deutscher Mediziner und Hirnforscher. Bekannt wurde er für seine neuropathologische Forschung. 1922 beschrieb er gemeinsam mit dem Hirnforscher Hugo Spatz das Hallervorden-Spatz-Syndrom (HSS), eine neurodegenerative Erkrankung, bei der es zu Eisenablagerungen im Gehirn kommt.
