Orlando Guntinas-Lichius is engaged since more than 20 years in the improvement of peripheral nerve regeneration, especially after lesion and defective healing of the facial nerve. His scientific work has started in an interdisciplinary working group consisting of Institute of Anatomy and ENT department at the University of Cologne. Actual aim is to transfer the results into a human model based on functional imaging.
