Paul Hoyningen-Huene has published mainly in the area of philosophy of science. He became internationally known through his studies on the philosophy of science of Thomas S. Kuhn, which triggered a turn in the philosophical study of Kuhn. In these studies, the sophistication, subtlety, and systematic character of Kuhn’s work became visible, which resulted in many points of entry for further work.
