SUMMARY:4th German-Russian Young Researchers Forum
DESCRIPTION:The 4th German-Russian Young Researchers Forum covers a spectru
 m of topics related to higher education, research, innovation and science-b
 ased political and societal advice of mutual interest for Russia, Germany a
 nd Europe. It brings together researchers who are at an early stage of thei
 r career to discuss their work, gain insight into new research approaches f
 rom other disciplines, and also identify possibilities for future collabora
 tion. The forum is designed to foster cross-disciplinary exchange and offer
 s a platform for dialogue and reflection.  \n\nObjectives\n\n  Based on the
  success of past editions, this year’s forum is organised in three main sec
 tions:  \n\nPresentations of innovative research projects in an interdiscip
 linary perspective, which illustrate progress in science, as well as open u
 p possibilities of transnational collaborationRethinking the science and hu
 manities: (plenary) debates and round tables to:define the concept of the ‘
 new’ / ‘novelty’ in various research-based approaches and their role in mul
 ti- and interdisciplinary scientific activity,address the added value of no
 velty, andconnect recent advancements in research with new approaches in ed
 ucation, reflecting upon the impact of scientific findings.Exchange of diff
 erent views on the role, status and perspectives of early-career researcher
 s within the scientific community, paying specific attention to new forms o
 f PhD- and Postdoc-cultures, while also addressing the various aspects of r
 esilience in different scientific systems. \n\n  The German-Russian Young R
 esearchers Forum was initiated within the German-Russian Year of Education,
  Science and Innovation 2011/12. The three previous forums took place in Mo
 scow (2011), in Halle/Saale and Berlin (2012), and in Bonn, Köln, and Jülic
 h (2013), and brought together outstanding young scientists from Russia and
