  (ALLEA) is celebrating its 30th Anniversary at the 2024 General Assembly i
 n Berlin, co-hosted by the Union of the German Academies of Sciences and Hu
 manities, the Junge Akademie and the German National Academy of Sciences Le
 opoldina.\n\nThe public symposium, entitled “European Research Collaboratio
 n in a Shifting Geopolitical Landscape: How Open Can We Be?”, will bring to
 gether researchers, policymakers, and civil society representatives from ac
 ross Europe to discuss the challenges of open research collaboration in a c
 hanging geopolitical context. A high-level panel will address the role of i
 nternational scientific cooperation, the balance between collaboration and 
 research security, and the challenge of promoting the freedom of science wh
 ile ensuring responsible research conduct.\n\nThe public symposium is follo
 wed by a reception.\n\nRegistration\n\nParticipation is free of charge. Reg
