SUMMARY:IMB-Conference „Chromatin Dynamics and Stem Cells”
DESCRIPTION:The 2013 IMB Conference will be the first major European meetin
 g to focus on the latest findings and concepts in the fields of chromatin d
 ynamics and stem cells. As such it will bring together experts in epigeneti
 cs, developmental biology and cellular reprogramming. The conference will b
 e of interest both to researchers performing basic research in these fields
  and to applied scientists interested in cellular reprogramming and transla
 tional medicine. The conference is open to anyone interested.The majority o
 f the time will be dedicated to plenary lectures from the invited speakers 
 as well as short talks. Short talks will be invited based upon submitted ab
 stracts and speakers will be chosen to ensure the topics presented are at t
 he cutting edge of research and are complementary to the plenary lectures. 
 The talks will be complemented by poster sessions where selected participan
 ts can present their research. The schedule also includes social activities
 , such as a welcome reception, meals and coffee breaks as well as an aftern
 oon sightseeing excursion and conference dinner. These events will ensure t
 hat there will be plenty of opportunities for informal discussions and netw
 orking.  \n\nTarget Audience\n\n  The target audience of the conference is 
 scientists who focus on basic or applied aspects of chromatin biology and s
 tem cells, including those with an interest in cellular reprogramming and r
 egenerative medicine. Due to the conference focus being highly relevant to 
 medical research it is also expected that the event will be of interest to 
 clinical researchers and representatives from the pharmaceutical industry.
