DESCRIPTION:Aim of the meeting "Parasite Infections in Global Health: Socio
 economics, Nutrition, Drug Resistance and Immunity" is to focus on the high
 ly prevalent infections with helminths and malaria in the global South. The
 se chronic parasitic infections have a massive impact on the health, social
  and economic aspects of infected individuals and are important topics for 
 policy advice.\n\nThe impact of these infections and solutions from differe
 nt perspectives will be discussed through presentations of current research
 . As the two focal infections in humans occur where poverty prevails, the m
 eeting will cover current immunological aspects and approaches against resi
 stance development as well as social science and economic approaches, nutri
 tional issues and the impact of co-infections on the individual.\n\nMeeting
