SUMMARY:[Postponed] Recent Advances in Neuroscience
DESCRIPTION:The 7th Inter-Academy Symposium (IAS) of the German National Ac
 ademy of Sciences Leopoldina and the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanit
 ies (Israel Academy) offers a platform for numerous neuroscientists from bo
 th countries. They discuss their latest research results, e.g. in the field
 s of perception, memories and brain diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease an
 d Parkinson’s disease.\n\nGerman and Israeli young scientists participate i
 n the symposium with poster presentations. The best posters receive awards.
 \n\nThe 7th IAS “Recent Advances in Neuroscience” is a continuation of the 
 Inter-Academy Symposium series in the field of neurosciences which is organ
 ized jointly by the Leopoldina and the Israel Academy. On the side of the L
 eopoldina, scientific coordinators of the symposium are Professor Peter Rie
 derer, Professor Helmut Kettenmann, Professor Hannah Monyer, Professor Arth
 ur Konnerth, Professor Ad Aertsen and Professor Dietmar Schmitz. Scientific
  coordinators on side of the Israel Academy are Professor Yadin Dudai and P
 rofessor Yael Amitay. The German Neuroscience Society (Neurowissenschaftlic
 he Gesellschaft e.V.) financially supports the participation of German youn
