SUMMARY:Transplantation – Ethics, Techniques, Immunology
DESCRIPTION:This international symposium aims to bring together basic resea
 rchers and clinicians to discuss new developments for the therapeutic use o
 f various types of transplantations. The focus will be on four major areas:
  Solid Organs, Highlights In Translation, Eye, Immunology/Ethics. Internati
 onal experts will present new approaches in the transplantation of liver, k
 idney, uterus, cornea, retinal pigment epithelium, pancreatic islets, faeca
 l microbiota and bone marrow. \n\nOn Thursday evening, Prof. Michael Menger
  ML, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, invites the public to attend his open
 ing lecture to discuss the opportunities and limitations of transla tional 
 research – "from bench to bedside".\n\nThe symposium is co-sponsored by the
