SUMMARY:From Nanoscience to Biomedicine
DESCRIPTION:The scientific part of the October meeting is entitled “From Na
 noscience to Biomedicine”. This area forms a strong focus within the resear
 ch activities of members of the Leopoldina at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Uni
 versität Münster and the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Biomedicine. The
  meeting will focus on selected examples of analytical nanoscience work as 
 well as recent biomedical research results. Prominent speakers will present
  aspects of novel and analytical nanotools and their application to complex
  biological systems, physiological aspects of fear, molecular mechanisms of
  inflammation, and induction of pluripotency in adult stem cells. The organ
 izers warmly welcome experts from the academic institutions in Münster and 
 elsewhere as well as students and the interested public and, in particular,
