SUMMARY:Indo-German bilateral Symposium “Plant Biology”
DESCRIPTION:In recent years, much progress has been made in understanding p
 lant life. New and efficient technologies for genetic enhancement have been
  developed and new options for sustainable agriculture and growth created. 
 However, research in plant biology still faces many challenges; the climate
  change, nutrient utilization, immunity against pets and pathogens, nutriti
 onal food and its preservation are some of them.  During the workshop, lead
 ing scientists from India and Germany will discuss their newest findings in
  the field of plant biology. Green Technology, which is an important aspect
  of biotechnological research in India, and its social acceptance will also
  be a major issue. Young scientists will have the opportunity to network wi
