  the Leopoldina Symposium on Lipid Signalling, which will be held in Frankf
 urt am Main on September 4-7, 2008. The meeting under the auspices of the F
 orschergruppe 754 of the German Research Foundation, the Faculty of Medicin
 e of the J. W. Goethe University and the German Academy of Sciences Leopold
 ina will cover a broad spectrum of current topics in the rapidly evolving f
 ield of lipid signalling. Special emphasis will be given to the following a
 spects for which distinguished international experts will deliver state of 
 the art lectures in designated sessions:• Bioactive sphingolipids• Cannabin
 oids• Eicosanoids• Functions of lipids in health and diseaseOral and poster
