SUMMARY:Metabolism meets Virulence
DESCRIPTION:The second international symposium „Metabolism Meets Virulence”
will cover current topics such as infection models for study of specific p
athogens, regulation of metabolism during infection, analytical approaches
for quantification of metabolomes and metabolic fluxes, as well as bioinfor
matics for quantification and modeling metabolism during infection. The sym
posium is part of the DFG-funded priority program SPP1316: ‘Host-adapted me
tabolism of bacterial pathogens’. The SPP1316, 17 research groups currently
investigate the mechanisms of bacterial metabolism during infection.About
150 national and international speakers and participants are expected to jo
in the symposium. These will include biologist and physicians working on in
fectious disease, analytical biochemists and bioinformaticians. The symposi
um is expected to demonstrate the recent progress in SPP1316 and to further
  foster interdisciplinary scientific collaboration.\n\nFurther information\
n\nFor participation please register until 15 March. For registration and f
urther information please visit the Website of the symposium
