G20 Statements 2020
In preparation for the G20 Summit of Heads of State and Government in November 2020, the National Academies of Sciences of the G20 countries have prepared joint statements under the leadership of the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST). They have been handed over to the Saudi Arabian G20 Presidency.
This year, under the theme "Foresight", the academies are addressing the challenges of health, sustainability and digitization. In their Science20 Communiqué, the academies propose concrete recommendations to the G20 Summit. They aim at identifying future risks earlier and better realizing existing potentials through international cooperation. In addition, the academies have published an ad-hoc statement on international cooperation in the fight against the COVID 19 pandemic.
