Apart from biographical studies Fritz Krafft's main fields within the history of exact sciences belong primarily to Greek and Roman antiquity, Renaissance, and the 17th–18th centuries, including from more recent time for instance the discovery of nuclear fission and the formation of the pharmacy as a scientific discipline, with the main focus on states of flux and phases which create new disciplines and change kinds of seeing and understanding as well as their interaction with other phenomena of culture and civilization. The results went down into more than 350 scientific papers and 50 books.
