The Leopoldina and the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei have maintained a close partnership for many years. Together, they promote scientific exchange, organize high-level events, and collaborate on bilateral and international policy advice, such as for the G7 and G20 summits.

The Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei is the Italian national academy and one of the oldest scientific academies in the world. The Leopoldina and the Lincei have been working closely together for many years. Italian scientists are also members of the Leopoldina.
Together, Leopoldina and Lincei promote scientific exchange between Germany and Italy, organise high-level events and work together in international policy advice, particularly in the context of joint G7 and G20 policy advice. Bilateral delegation trips by the heads of the academies deepen the cooperation. In addition, Leopoldina and Lincei closely coordinate their involvement in international networks in which both academies are members.
