Carl Friedrich von Weizsäcker Prize 2024
The chemist Johannes Lelieveld used innovative measurement methods and computer models to investigate how chemical and meteorological processes affect the Earth's atmosphere. His research has provided crucial insights into the self-cleaning power of the atmosphere and the impact of various emissions on the climate and human health. The German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina and the Stifterverband are honouring him with the Carl Friedrich von Weizsäcker Prize 2024.
