Research
James Robert Brown is a Professor of Philosophy and works in a number of areas within the philosophy of science, including: thought experiments, foundations of physics, philosophy of mathematics, and the social relations of science. He is perhaps best known for his Platonistic views in thought experiments, his work on visual reasoning in mathematics, and his call for the elimination of intellectual property rights in medical research.
