Research

Jürgen Knop was Director of the Department of Dermatology at the University Medical Center Mainz (retired). His scientific focus is dermato-immunology. He published contributions to the etio-pathogenesis of contact sensitivity, the role of dendritic cells and regulatory T-cells in allergic and autoimmunologic diseases and melanoma. He was chairman of the Collaborative Research Center 548 “Analysis and Modulation of Allergic and Autoimmunologic Diseases”.
