Research
Martin Eimer has made important contributions to the field of cognitive neuroscience. Much of his research focuses on the study of visual, tactile, auditory, and crossmodal attention with behavioural and electrophysiological measures. He is also well known for his work on face processing, which has pioneered the use of electrophysiological markers for different aspects of face perception and recognition. His work on the effects subliminal information on motor activation has also been influential. In several fields, his research has opened up new lines of enquiry and new methodological approaches that are actively pursued by many other research groups.
