Research
Rolf Huisgen was a German chemist. His research was mainly dealing with the domain of reactivity, i.e. the 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction. His work was internationally valued and he accepted various guest professorships in different countries as the USA and Israel. Through his work he helped to rebuild the organic chemistry in Germany after World War II and encouraged international cooperation in scientific research in that era.
