Tobin Marks is an inorganic and materials chemist with diverse interests in the synthesis and properties of soft matter photonic, electronic, and opto-electronic materials, self-assembly of integrated functional materials, the synthesis and processing of oxides with unusual electronic, electrical, and optical properties, developing and understanding molecule-based homogeneous and heterogeneous catalyst for the synthesis of novel polymeric materials, the organometallic chemistry of the lanthanides and actinides and its application in homogeneous catalysis, and metal ion biochemistry.
