The Korean Academy of Science and Technology (KAST) and the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina have jointly organized annual bilateral symposia for several years now. This year’s conference will be held in Seoul and will focus on “Bioimaging and its Application”. Renowned scientists from Germany and South Korea will present their research, discuss future developments in their respective fields and identify options for closer cooperation between the two countries.
The symposium will be held under the framework of the “Joint Korean-German Conference 2015 on Science and Innovation”, which is organized on the occasion of the state visit of the Federal President of Germany in South Korea. In the morning session, Federal President Gauck will give a speech on the topic of innovation and science. The key-note lecture will be held by Noble laureate Prof. Dr. Christiane Nüsslein-Volhard ML.
The KAST-Leopoldina Symposium will be one of the afternoon sessions.
