This conference will be convened by EARI (European Academies‘ Research Inititiative), the association of European Science Academies for the history of science and scientific institutions. Its aim is to deepen our understanding of the interplay between science organisations and political framings such as ideas of nationhood in the 20th century, with a focus on Central Europe.

EARI hopes to bring together historians and other expert researchers of 20th century history of science to illuminate the interplay between science and politics under the particular perspective chosen for the conference.
