The symposium is organized by PMU in cooperation with the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina and focuses on all levels of interfaces in the musculoskeletal system, thereby touching on crucial topics of current research and health care. From molecular mechanisms and innovative imaging technology to translational research, clinical management, and societal aspects of “interfaces” the lectures cover a broad spectrum designed for scientists and medical professionals with a research interest.

- Poster sessions and pitches provide a platform for early-career researchers (BA/MA/PhD).
- 17 leading international speakers will present new perspectives and research findings.
- Public evening lecture by Ralph Müller (ETH Zurich) on the topic: “Wie Knochen hören lernen” (German)
- Contributions will be published in a Special Issue of “Annals of Anatomy”.
- A conference dinner and excursion on October 11 offer the opportunity to enjoy the baroque city of Salzburg and adjacent Bavaria, and to reflect on scientific insights with ample time for discussion in an engaging setting.
