G20 Chief Science Advisers' Roundtable Outcome Statement (2025)

Research, technology and innovation play a central role in economic growth, social progress and sustainable development. This topic is the focus of the statement of the Chief Science Advisors' Roundtable (G20 CSAR), which will be presented at the G20 summit on 22 and 23 November 2025 in Johannesburg, South Africa. The G20 CSAR has been held since 2023 as a consultative process involving the chief scientific advisors of the G20 countries in preparation for the annual G20 summits. In coordination with the German government, Prof. Dr Bettina Rockenbach, President of the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina, represents Germany at the G20 CSAR ad personam.
