The 7th Inter-Academy Symposium (IAS) of the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina and the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities (Israel Academy) offers a platform for numerous neuroscientists from both countries. They discuss their latest research results, e.g. in the fields of perception, memories and brain diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease.
German and Israeli young scientists participate in the symposium with poster presentations. The best posters receive awards.
The 7th IAS “Recent Advances in Neuroscience” is a continuation of the Inter-Academy Symposium series in the field of neurosciences which is organized jointly by the Leopoldina and the Israel Academy. On the side of the Leopoldina, scientific coordinators of the symposium are Professor Peter Riederer, Professor Helmut Kettenmann, Professor Hannah Monyer, Professor Arthur Konnerth, Professor Ad Aertsen and Professor Dietmar Schmitz. Scientific coordinators on side of the Israel Academy are Professor Yadin Dudai and Professor Yael Amitay. The German Neuroscience Society (Neurowissenschaftliche Gesellschaft e.V.) financially supports the participation of German young scientists.

Poster Session
If you are a young scientist and wish to participate in the poster session of the symposium with a poster presentation you may apply for a grant at the German Neuroscience Society until 31 January 2020.
