Prof. em. Dr. Yoshiki Hiki (✝︎)

Yoshiki Hiki’s research interests included the surgical endoscopy, the operative treatment on the field of gastroenterology, the radical operation with lymphadenectomy, the diagnosis and treatment for early stage of gastrointestinal cancer, and the endoscopic treatment for GI cancer (laser, laparoscopy, robotic surgery). He continued to actively participate in many professional fields in Japan and abroad. He was serving as Chairman of The Special Committee for Medical Costs of National Health Insurance, Trustee of Sasaki Institute, Visiting Professor of Keio University, Head of the Probation of Direction Medical Treatment for Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, Director of Yokogawa Medical Center, Trustee of Kyoritsu Pharmaceutical University, President of Alumni Association of the School of Medicine, Keio University.
Yoshiki Hiki died on 14 October 2022.
