It is our pleasure to invite you to the Leopoldina Symposium on Lipid Signalling, which will be held in Frankfurt am Main on September 4-7, 2008. The meeting under the auspices of the Forschergruppe 754 of the German Research Foundation, the Faculty of Medicine of the J. W. Goethe University and the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina will cover a broad spectrum of current topics in the rapidly evolving field of lipid signalling. Special emphasis will be given to the following aspects for which distinguished international experts will deliver state of the art lectures in designated sessions:
• Bioactive sphingolipids
• Cannabinoids
• Eicosanoids
• Functions of lipids in health and disease
Oral and poster presentations from selected abstracts will complement the programme and sufficient time for social interactions and networking will be provided. We cordially invite you to attend this symposium and look forward to welcoming you to Frankfurt.
