Research

Susanne Renner is well-known for her contributions to plant phylogenetics, biogeography, and mating system evolution. Her biogeographic work has focused on tropical as well as temperate families and continues to lead to the discovery of new species as well as floristic and monographic treatments.  Renner is also the director of the Munich Botanical Garden and the Munich herbarium, which is the among the World's largest herbaria.
