International Human Rights Network of Academies and Scholarly Societies (IHRN)

Science needs freedom. The Leopoldina’s Human Rights Committee is a member of the International Human Rights Network of Academies and Scholarly Societies (The H. R. Network).

The IHRN supports persecuted scientists worldwide and addresses human rights and bioethical issues in science. The current HRC chairperson is Professor Hans-Peter Zenner, a member of the Leopoldina Presidium.
