Science7 Dialogue Forum 2022

Im Januar 2022 hat Deutschland den Vorsitz der Gruppe der Sieben (G7) führenden Industriestaaten übernommen. Das Gipfeltreffen der Staats- und Regierungschefs findet vom 26. bis 28. Juni 2022 in Schloss Elmau in den bayerischen Alpen statt.

Unter Federführung der Nationalen Akademie der Wissenschaften Leopoldina erarbeiten die Wissenschaftsakademien der G7-Staaten im Format „Science7“ (S7) wissenschaftsbasierte Stellungnahmen zu Themen der Gipfelagenda. Schwerpunkte sind dabei die Auswirkungen des Klimawandels auf die Polarregionen und Ozeane, konkrete Maßnahmen zur Dekarbonisierung, die Entwicklung von antiviralen Medikamenten zur Pandemievorsorge sowie globale Gesundheitsherausforderungen, die durch Zoonosen und antimikrobielle Resistenzen entstehen.

Im Rahmen des S7 Dialogue Forums am 31. Mai 2022 werden die gemeinsamen Empfehlungen von den Präsidentinnen und Präsidenten der Nationalen Akademien der G7-Staaten offiziell an die Bundesregierung übergeben und die Ergebnisse im Rahmen einer Wissenschaftskonferenz mit nationalen und internationalen Expertinnen und Experten und der Öffentlichkeit diskutiert.
