Carl Friedrich von Weizsäcker-Preis

A prize awarded by the Leopoldina and Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft to scientists or research teams who have made a significant scientific contribution to tackling the great challenges facing society today. The prize is endowed with €50,000 and is awarded every two years from Stifterverband funds. The first person to win the prize was molecular biologist and civil rights campaigner Jens Reich.
