Microbiology is one of the fastest moving disciplines in life sciences and its landscape has changed tremendously during the last decades. Some sub-disciplines of microbiology are evolving at an impressively increasing speed and spectacular advances are driven by developments in genomics, proteomics, imaging techniques and bioinformatics. Combination of these advances allow for single cell analysis, rapid and relatively inexpensive metagenomic and transcriptomic data analyses, large-scale studies or visualization of previously unsuspected mechanisms. This enables studies that address critical roles of microbes both in health and disease and in humans, animals and the environment.
The German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina, the Académie des sciences, the Royal Society, and the Royal Swedish Academy are holding a scientific conference on these new developments in microbiology. The conference will cover a broad range of topics in microbiology, featuring research on infection biology, microbiome, phage biology, bacterial cell biology and molecular infection biology. The meeting will be an appropriate and timely occasion to offer an outstanding discussion forum for the best international researchers in these fields of microbiology research to discuss newly discovered aspects of microbiology from single cell to microbiome and host.
Die Veranstaltung richtet sich an alle fachlich Interessierten. Eine Anmeldung ist erforderlich.
Die Frist für die Anmeldung mit einem Posterabstract ist der 31. Juli 2023. Ohne Abstract ist die Anmeldung bis zum 31. August 2023 möglich.
