The 8th Bilateral KAST-Leopoldina Symposium, to be held in Seoul on 14-15 January 2025, brings together leading scientists from Korea and Germany to spark collaboration and drive progress towards a sustainable and resilient energy future in both countries. Discussions focus on five areas central to the energy transition: solar technologies, hydrogen, batteries, grid management, and future energy sources. The scientific coordinators are Professor Wolfgang Marquardt ML, former Chairman of Forschungszentrum Jülich, on behalf of the Leopoldina, and Professor Nam Gyu Park, Sungkyunkwan University, Seoul, on behalf of KAST.
